Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a great Easter break! I know I sure did! It was nice and relaxing and I even got to spend some time outside! Always a plus! We have exactly one month from today left of school! Lets finish strong!! I sent home notes dealing with the field trip, please make sure those are signed and brought back this week. I have also sent home Little Rascal notes and I will be sending another one when it gets closer. I hope the science fair projects are going well. Please let me know if you have any questions with that. We came back from break and ALL of our butterflies have hatched. They even managed to escape the cage and were flying around the room. That was our sign to decided to release them today. I will post pictures later on this week. If you are not sure on dates or of anything that is going on please let me know!

APRIL 7, 2014
Good Morning and Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Can you believe its already April?! We have ALOT of things going on these last few weeks so I will try and update my webpage as much as I can. Our caterpillars are starting to form their chrystallis' which we are very excited about. They should be in those for about a week and then we will transfer them to a net and they will turn into butterflies. We will keep you up to date on how they are doing! Remember AR points must be made by May 9 in order to go to the 100 point party. We are having a camp day. We will set up tents, roast marshmallows, have hamburgers/hotdogs. If your child doesn't reach 100 they will not be able to attend....READ READ READ were almost there!! I will be sending home notes about a science fair by Friday of this week.
Any comments/questions/concerns about anything let me know!
Have a great day!

I just wanted to apologize for not posting lately. I had a family emergency and my husband's grandma ended up passing away. I have been gone since last Wednesday. Things are back to normal now though! I am going to be sending home a snack calendar today as well as their new spelling lists. Since I was a day late giving them to them there will only be 9 words. I will also be updating our newsletter this afternoon so you can see what big things we have happening these last few weeks. We only have 7 more weeks and its going to go quickly so let's make them count!

READ Across America Week!
Yesterday we celebrated Dr. Seuss' Birthday. We did many activities dealing with just a handful of his books. We read Horton Hears a Who, Barthalomew and the Oobleck, Hop on Pop, Fox Socks, and I licked 30 Tigers Today. We made tie dyed socks for Fox in Socks. We ate colored popcorn for Hop on Pop. We drank Beezlenut Splash for Horton Hears a Who (sprite and jello). We made Ooobleck for Barthalomew and the Oobleck. For I licked 20 Tigers today we tried to lick a lollipop for as long as we could! The kids seemed like they had a great day, I know I sure did!
We also found out yesterday that our class raised the most box tops! AWESOME JOB! We will be notified of our prize shortly.
Scholastics will be due a week from Friday if you would like to order them!
Have a GREAT rest of the week!

Happy Sunday! I just wanted to update you on a few things. The olympics are starting up this week, please encourage your child to watch some of it. We are going to be talking about it in school and if they see it out side of the classroom their interests may spike with it! Box tops are due February 24, we are competing against the other grades to win a prize so its our last month to earn as many as we can! Great job so far! I will send out Valentines name lists this week. Its not a requirement to send your child with them, but if you do please make sure you include everyone in the class. 100th day of school!!! (january 31, 2014)
We had a FANTASTIC day of school today! I am so proud of all my kids and all they accomplished this year thus far. We spent the day doing ALL kinds of fun 100's activities. All day we received thank you's and "this is the best day ever" from the kids so I think they a really enjoyed the day and definitely made it worth while! We decorated the hallway last night with streamers and balloons. In each of the balloons were notes telling us what activity we were going to do. In order to get out the note we had to pop the balloon. We had 15 balloons but ran out of time so we will finish them throughout the week next week! Some of the activities we completed today were:
- 100 hershey kiss library hunt, -can you chew a starburst for 100 chews, -what creation can you make using a one and two zeros, -100 cup stack, -how many times can you clap in 100 seconds, -how many times can you hop in 100 seconds, -bringing 100 items in a baggie, -how many times can you write your name in 100 seconds, -100 piece lego, linking cube structures. Along with all the fun things we are starting a challenge of "Can we do 100 acts of kindness" before Valentines day. To start this out we donated 100 items to the local food bank. We are also writing 100 letters to soldiers over seas. Stay tuned if we can hit 100 kind things! I hope your child tells you all about their exciting week! :) I will update the newsletter and spelling throughout the weekend. Have a great one!
Mrs. Schulte :)
P.S. I apologize some of the photos are upside down...I can't seem to get them to rotate on here...SORRY!!

Kansas Day! (January 29, 2014)
This week we have been learning all about Kansas history. We have discussed all of the symbols of Kansas, the process of the crops that create food, different houses, old vs recent pictures, etc. We also had the opportunity to make our own butter which we spread onto bread and then enjoyed eating it! The kids found how it takes more work to make butter than to just get it out of the fridge, but they were pretty proud of themselves when they saw the final project. We also had all the elementary students color the Kansas seal. We then had the art teacher judge the best ones from each class. The winners are posted below. Enjoy looking at our day I know the kids enjoyed it!
January 26, 2014
Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Again it was a beautiful one and the cold is coming back! Remember to have your child dress warmly and I will do the same when they leave for the day! This week we will be celebrating Kansas' Birthday on Wednesday. There are quite a few fun activities planned for this, but I will post pictures afterward that way I don't ruin the surprise. :) Friday will be 100's day. I can't believe we have already been in school for 100 days. I hope you can tell how much your child has learned in all those days! I know I can definitely tell a difference in them. I will also post pictures of our fun activities on Friday as well. Have a fantastic week!
Mrs. Schulte :)
Ps. I will send out the February snack calendars this week as well.

We had so many kids out sick last week, I hope everyone was able to get feeling better during this three day weekend. It will be a short week only being four days but we still have a lot of fun things planned. You can take a look at everything that we are doing in our newsletter. Lets make it a great week!

Happy Saturday!
Good Morning! I hope everyone had a great first week back! I know I sure did! I was so pleased to see how we all still remembered to follow the rules at school. They also jumped back into reading and math like we'd never been gone! :) I am so proud of how well all of the kids did on their spelling tests! You could tell they practice them at home! Week two everyone will be back to 10 words, but theres not a doubt in my mind...they will do great! Next week I will be AIMs web testing all the kids again in reading and math. I will be sending home the results probably Friday. If you need me to explain them to you feel free to stop in and see me! Kindergarten- your new sight word lists will be sent home Monday. You ALL passed with flying colors on your first list..keep it up! This past Friday we celebrated our 50 point party...All kids participated, but now it's time to make sure we crack down again..50 more points are needed by the beginning of May. YOU CAN DO IT!! Please try and read two books a night. The rule is they must reach five points in order to go to the BOBcat store each week. So if they read 2 books a day they should be able to go almost every week. (depending on their test scores) I hope you enjoy this beautiful weather this weekend and what looks like next week as well. Hopefully we can get back outside before it gets cold again. It's great having everyone back!
Mrs. Schulte :)
Our last school party will be approaching quickly (Valentines) so whenever you'd like to start getting that planned feel free to contact one another. Names and contacts are located in the Classroom Party Group section on this site. Let me know if there's anything you need me to do.
P.S. since we are already halfway thru the year...our crayons, pencils, and glue sticks are starting to look like it! If there is anyway sometime in the next month you could get your child a new set of crayons that would be FANTASTIC! I always have some they can use if they have lost or broke theirs but even my stash is starting to dwindle down. I have purchased many pencils as well as glue sticks but if anyone has extras of any of these at home and they'd like to share that would be VERY helpful! Don't stress out if you can't bring any of these items...just do what you can! Thank you Thank you! ...(no markers or pens please)! You can also remind your child they could purchase crayons at the Bobcat store too, that is always an option. I believe they are six bobcat bucks.

Happy friday! January 3-10
I worked at school all day today and I couldn't get over how quiet it was without the kids there. I am very anxious to be starting back up again! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and they are enjoying their last couple of days inside where its nice and warm! I am sure everyone is just itching to get back into the groove of things again... especially the kids! :) I have a lot of fun things planned for our second half of the year. We will be having our 50 point party for AR on Friday. Thank you for making sure your child read their books every night and were able to do well on the tests...were halfway there! We need everyone to make it to 100 by mid May in order to go to the 100 point party! YOU CAN DO IT!! :) I will be sending home a snack calendar as well as posting it on here. Thank you in advance for providing those for the kids. Keep collecting box tops, if our class raises the most, we win a prize at the end of the year..but in order to win we have to save! This month we have Kansas Day, 100th day of school, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will be celebrating/learning more about each of these days. I will post more on those as it gets closer. Kindergarteners.. you are going to be starting spelling words, you can check out the spelling link to learn more about them. Please check out the weekly newsletter to find out more about what fun things we will be learning next week. I thank you for checking my webpage and ask that you please check it At LEAST once a week. I always post the fun things we do as well as post important information. I have the new week posted usually by Sunday afternoons. I wanted to thank you all for making our first half of the year a great one... now lets keep it going for the last half! :) Remember if you have any comments/questions/concerns feel free to email or call me anytime!

Happy December! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! I can't believe we only have three weeks until Christmas break, time sure is flying fast!! We have a lot of things to do before then but I think the kids will really enjoy these next three weeks. We are going to have a surprise visitor with us for the three weeks. As an elementary school we are going to be doing the elf on the shelf. After the elementary listens to the story about what the elf does we will pick a name for him and each day I will blog on here about what mischief our elf got into for the day. I am getting things ready for this week so I will post on the newsletter part this afternoon/evening. I just wanted to let you all know that I am going to get the site updated today. I just wanted to get my room back in order before I did. Since we are in December I wanted to remind you to please check the party list and see if you are scheduled for the Christmas party. If you are please make sure you get ahold of each other and start planning. If you need anything from me let me know, if not I will leave it all up to you. Thank you in advance for being apart of it! :) Make sure your child is reading books every night. We plan on having our 50 point party and we have not all reached our 50 points yet. That needs to be reached BEFORE Christmas break which is only three weeks away. I have quite a few that have already make it, GREAT Job! I am so glad to be back and hopefully things will start to get back to normal now. Thank you all for working with the subs and I during the past few weeks. Have a great week and make sure you please check back to see what fun things we are learning about this week!

Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to give you all an update on me. Wednesday afternoon I was suffering from stomach pains. I stayed home from school Thursday and went to the doctor. I was then taken by ambulance from Ransom to Hays. There they ran lots of tests and found out that I needed emergency surgery. My gallbladder was badly infected and I had gallstones that were blocking the entrance/exit so they took it out. After surgery and recovery I was released from the hospital on Sunday. I am now at home but unfortunately I am not allowed to go back to work until after Thanksgiving break :(. I sure do miss the kids already! If I'm feeling up to it I am hoping to have lunch with them towards the end of the week this week or one of the days next week if I am feeling up to it that is. So things might not be going home like they usually do but please just work with the sub and myself and we will go with the flow for now! :) If you need anything from me feel free to email me/text/call. I will do my best to help out with what I can!
Have a great Thanksgiving Break and I will be good as new come December!

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! This next week we will be working on turkeys, fall, Veterans day, getting ready to move into Thanksgiving things next week. Its hard to believe we only have a few weeks until Thanksgiving. It will be here before we know it! Make sure your child is bundling up in the mornings, it is going to start getting cold this week and if its not too cold we will go outside for recess. I will do my best to make sure they bring it all home with them at the end of the day! :) This week as an assignment I am going to have your child bring home a blank turkey. I want you and your child to work together to come up with a way to disguise this turkey so the farmer can't find him for Thanksgiving dinner. Be creative and use any and as many materials as you would like! Add hats, shoes, sun glasses, pants, a shirt, hair, etc. Have fun with it!
Have a fantastic week ahead!

Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a great week! I just wanted to inform you (the parents) that we put Mr. Potato Head together again FINALLY! It took us a little longer this time but we did it! I let the kids vote on what they would like to do to celebrate this accomplishment and they decided to have a movie/stuffed animal day. So FRIDAY November 8, the kids are allowed to bring in their favorite stuffed animals. The stuffed animals may sit at their desks with them as long as they are not a distraction. My only rule is they can't be huge! We will then spend the afternoon watching Monsters University.
We are learning about animals, and Tate was kind enough to bring in 12 sow bugs for us. We spent the afternoon examining them and doing different experiments with them. I think the kids had a fun time with them!
I sent book orders home with the kids tonight. If you would like to purchase any please return the book order and the money by Friday November 22. These could make good Christmas gifts so just let me know if thats what you are wanting to do and I will make sure the kids don't see them. I can have them to you before Christmas break! :)
Enjoy the rest of you week!

The kids as well as myself had a great time at the Utica Pumpkin Patch!! We saw some many great animals, such as: llamas, goats, dogs, and even horses. We also got to have a hay ride to the pumpkin patch were we were able to pick to pumpkins for the classroom. I will have details on what we are going to do with them soon! Some of the other fun things the kids got to do at the pumpkin patch were slide down and slide, ride a little train, and go thru a truck with corn in the bag and dig for a treasure in it! They had a lot of fun and I know they were tired when we got back, I know I sure was! Hope you are all having a great week so far I just wanted to post some of the pictures from our field trip. We had split the big kids and the little kids up so I ended up with only half of my class. I will have to get pictures of the other half of the group from Mrs. Walker soon!

I can't believe I'm saying this but Happy SNOWY Friday! The snow I believe caught us all off guard but it sure was pretty to see! This did however make it to where we had to reschedule our pumpkin patch trip. I think Monday will be a nice day for it though! Please make sure to dress appropriate, no sandals, shorts, and bring a coat. No money is needed for the pumpkin patch we are just going to look around and then get one pumpkin for our class to share! I will make sure to take pictures that day and upload them Monday night so be looking for them! Kindergarten parents if you need sight word sheets you can always get them off of here and just write in your childs planner that they are ready to test. First grade if you ever need the spelling lists you can get them from here as well. Everyone is doing such a great job on all the words! Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up, I can't wait to visit with each and every one of you! If there is something specific you are wanting to discuss please feel free to let me know ahead of time and I can have it all ready to go for you!
p.s. I know the flu/colds, are going around so please make sure you reminding your child to use a kleenex, germ-x, cough in their sleeve, wash hands, etc so we can prevent spreading germs as much as possible! :) An extra reminder never hurts!
Have a great weekend and I will see you all Monday!

Due to the weather being yucky on Friday, we have moved the pumpkin patch field trip in Utica to Monday October 21. Please remember to dress appropriately! Monday should be a much better day but it still may be chilly.

It's that time of the week again...Happy Friday! We had a great time at the play Goldilocks and the Three Bears on Wednesday. I have enclosed a picture of the whole elementary school with Goldilocks. Our class started centers for the first time last week. They went great. I think the kids really enjoyed working hands on, on a different center each day. Next week all of our centers involve PUMPKINS! Which reminds me...Friday we go to the pumpkin patch! Please make sure your child dresses appropriately! First grade you have new spelling words posted. I really enjoyed getting your emails, and looking at your spooky writing. If you think of any fun activity to help your child learn their spelling words you are more than welcome to do them, that sheet is completely suggestions. :) Look at all of our fun activities for next week on our newsletter page! Feel free to look at our brand new star student Mr. Braysen Holm. Have a great weekend! See you all Monday!

Happy Fall Sunday! I have been out of town so I apologize for updating this late. Last week was a very exciting week for the kids. It's so great to hear about all they have learned about fire safety whether it be from. The Ransom firefighters, Mr. Maurer, or evening thru our stories we read. This week is the real fire prevention week. We are going to be doing different centers dealing with fire words this week. Check out our newsletter to find out what else were learning! Kindergarten parents please look at the sight word section to read more about how you can help with learning our new words. First grade parents I am changing our spelling words for the week so if you've already looked at them please disregard. I will update them this afternoon. So while you're on here please check the sight word/spelling link, the newsletter, and if you haven't yet, check out all of our fun pictures from last week! If you could please send a jacket with your child everyday. We go out for recess in the morning and I had quite a few of them complaining because it was cold... Fall is here!
Have a great day and week!

My little brother is a firefighter at the Wichita Fire station. He was generous enough to come up and present fire safety information to the elementary school. He tried on his gear and had the students practice stop, drop, and roll. Make sure you ask your child what they learned about fire safety this week!
A Big Thank you goes out to the Ransom Fire Fighters for coming to school today to teach us more about fire safety. The kids were so excited to see the ambulance, fire truck, and even get to use the fire hose and wear a real fire helmet. It was such an awesome experience for the kids, they will be talking about this for weeks! So tonight ask your child what they learned to day and I am sure it will be a lot more than the usual "nothing" answer! It was so great to see the kids talk about what they had learned from our story in reading and apply it to what they saw with the fire truck! What an awesome day! :)
This week is the week that parents come to lunch, so if you signed up to eat with your child come on in at 11:00. We can't wait to see you there!

Happy Friday! I hope everything has had a nice relaxing four day week. We had a wonderful time celebrating Johnny Appleseed yesterday. Next week we are celebrating Fire Prevention week. I think the students will really enjoy learning about fire safety. We will be going over safe meeting places so you may want to start discussing that with your child that way they are prepared for that! And if you don't have one maybe now is a great time to come up with one! You never know when your going to need it. I have posted the class party lists under the Classroom Party Groups tab. I need to add a few more phone numbers but the Halloween party should start planning soon! Remember I am leaving that all up to you parents, have fun with it! I have already updated the Newsletter for next week so please take a look at it and see what fun things we have going on! Have a wonderful weekend!

HAPPY JOHNNY APPLESEED DAY!
Today we did a lot of APPLE activities. We made homemade applesauce, Johnny hats, read an Apples Up On Top book, apple math craft and much more! I had a great time and it seemed like the kids did too!

Happy Thursday!
We finally put Mr. Potato Head back together! We have earned a party tomorrow, which we chose to be pajama day! The students are allowed to wear their pajamas tomorrow, please make sure they have shoes for outside, and no stuffed animals, blankets, etc. I put my ipad up at lunch with a talking meter and I think it is working very well! We are learning to eat and then talk quietly! :) Tomorrow I am also bringing chocolate chip cookies for snack! The students did such an awesome job raising money for pennies for patients I feel like they should all be rewarded.
We finally got to spend our Bobcat bucks! Most of us spent all of our money which is great! I think they really enjoyed our store and have a better incentive not to lose money, and to read each night! Remember students are not allowed to go to the bobcat store to spend their money until they have hit their next five point increment. We want to make sure the students are reading as well as being good and this is a great way to do that.
Kindergarten had our first math test today. We will be starting chapter 2 next week.
I just want to appologize. I just realized I haven't updated my website since Friday, which means I completely forgot to update my newsletter. I will be better about that so thank you for those who keep checking it, again I apologize! Korbin had a birthday yesterday so I am uploading his birthday song right after I write this. Have a very Happy Friday tomorrow and enjoy your three day weekend!

Happy Friday!
I hope everyone had a fantastic week. We are finally getting our bobcat store set up and filled with goodies. I know the kids are getting anxious to spend. we've just been waiting for all of our stuff to come in. There will be many prizes to choose from worth anywhere from $1-100! Some of the prizes include...pencils, erasers, beach balls, water bottles, kites, even basketballs. The more money the kids have/ save the bigger the prize! We will add new prizes throughout the year. Our new rule is you must reach your AR points for the week in order to spend your money at the store. So some weeks you child may not get to spend their money if they don't read their books. Next week is Johnny Appleseed day, constitution day, and we have a guest speaker talking about his trip to New Zealand. Then it will be a three day weekend for the kids while the teachers go to meetings next Monday. A pennies for patient bake sale note will be sent home Monday or Tuesday next week. A list of the money your child has brought so far has been kept so the can use that money towards the bake sale. Sorry for the cancelation this past week!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, the news later will be updated soon.

Happy Wednesday!
Thank you for helping your child bring back their red AR folder. This folder will be brought back and forth along with your child's planner and take home folder everyday. I know its alot of things to take back and forth, but I think if we start the habit now it will work out okay.
As far as pennies for patients go, the teachers and myself have discussed it and we have decided to go without the bake sale this Friday. I still plan on bringing a treat, but it will just be for snack instead. Thank you to all of you for donating and you are still able to donate until the 20th if you choose to.
We have had a great week this week, grandparents day was a BIG success! I will be posting pictures soon! I think the kids as well as the grandparents had a wonderful time! I know really enjoyed it!
Star student is actually going to be a whole school star student. We have put all of the students names into a jar and every week we will be drawing someone new to hang a poster and any pictures they would like to post on the bulletin board in the hall way. Next week will be a fourth grader, check out the hallway and the star student link next week to find out who it is!
Comments/questions/concerns let me know!

You should be so proud of your kiddos! They did an awesome job at donating money to Pennies for Patients! Everyone got to watch the movie Epic today and we enjoyed some yummy popcorn and pop. Next week the teachers are going to make baked goods on Friday and if the students would like to purchase them (cupcakes, brownies, cookies, etc.) they are more than welcome to! All proceeds again will go to Pennies for patients. A note and box were sent home today talking about who we are raising the money for.
Grandparents day is Monday. Remember any/all grandparents are welcome to spend the afternoon with their grandchild. We have a lot of fun activities planned for the children/grandparents to do together. It should be a great time! If grandparents cannot make it, don't worry, children will still get to participate in everything and then their projects can be mailed to their grandparents!
Kindergarten/first grade started their bobcat bucks this past week. All of our supplies for our store came in this past week and we are just needing to set it up. We started a week earlier than the other classes, so our class is just collecting and will get to spend it soon! I know the students are anxious to spend it. They can either save it for really big prizes or spend what money they have. They will get to spend it every other Friday.
Come eat lunch with your child/children! We have planned a week for parents to come eat with their children. We sent a note home today, if you can make one of those days, please fill out the sheet and send it back with $3 and we will mark you down!
I have also updated the weekly newsletter so make sure you check and see what we have planned for next week! Everyone enjoy your weekend and I will see you on Monday!
Thank you to those that submitted their name showing they read this! It really helps me keep track! If you could submit again I'd appreciate it!

Happy Almost Friday!
I just wanted to update a few things. I am going to look at AR this weekend so I will be creating a new sheet for Monday. This week has slipped by me and I haven't found the time to recreate the spreadsheet. Sorry for any inconveniences this has caused and I will have them sent home on Monday!
Make sure, if you haven't already, to send your donations for Pennies for Patients tomorrow so your child my watch the movie and have a snack with us! Thank you to those that have already donated!
Grandparents day is Monday..don't forget to have your grandparents come and spend the afternoon with us (from 12-3:20)!
We have been discussing star citizens and using our manners. I am going to be looking for children who are going above and beyond. When I see, it they will receive a star citizen coupon that they can turn in for a small prize. I am looking for a different child each day!
I will update this site for next week, Friday evening. Feel free to check back any time this weekend and let me know if you have questions or comments on anything.
Have a GREAT evening!

A few things we have going on this week and next.
Grandparents day is Sunday! We are wanting to help kids and grandparents celebrate the day together by participating in arts and crafts, snacks etc at school. This activity will last from 12 and finish at the end of the day. If any grandparents can come we'd love to have you.
We are collecting any loose change for pennies for patients. In order to beat our goal from last year we decided to do some fun incentives to get the kids involved. This week we are asking the students to bring in money in order to participate in our movie day! Students will be required to donate $1 to pennies for patients in order to watch the movie. To make it even better they can donate another $1 and receive popcorn and another $1 for a pop. The money must be brought in by Friday at the latest.
Next week we will have a teacher bake sale where the kids can purchase baked goods with their donations. (Details to that will be posted at a later date)
Have a great night!
I will be sending a new AR sheet home tomorrow. Please fill out the books ahead of time that way the kids can write what they got on each test so it can be easily kept track of!

Happy Friday! We survived our first full week of school! We have a lot of new and exciting things starting up that I hope you all are enjoying hearing about! Buddy has joined our class. Read more about him under the Buddy tab! We are also doing a monkey mystery bag. It is our show-n-tell bag. When it is your child's turn make sure they keep it a secret!! REMEMBER- Library books are supposed to be read EVERY night then tested on. If you would like the test read to them one more time before they are tested just write it in their planners, we'd be happy to review with them! Starting next week we will have a sheet we fill out with the book and their score that way you can keep better tabs on how they are doing on their tests. Check out our weekly newsletter to find out what we are learning about next week and important dates to mark on your calendar! We are going to be doing testing next week on math and reading, just to give me an idea on what we need to go over this year!
REMINDER- HOMEWORK is to be done at HOME!!
I have updated the Holiday party list. Please check through it and let me know if something won't work out!
PLEASE start/continue collecting Box Tops. Just send them with your child to school. Also We are collecting Sunny Delight labels. 20 Labels for 20 free books for our classroom. The ending date is November 30, 3013. Thank you in advance!
Have a FANTASTIC three day weekend!

Happy Sunday Evening! Sorry I am posting our weekly newsletter so late. I had to make an emergency trip to Iowa over the weekend and it left me a little behind. Most of the time I will have your newsletter done Friday evening, Saturday evening at the very latest. I think the first two days of school went great! I really enjoyed your kiddos and I hope they felt the same about me! Next week we are going to get into our routines of centers, reading/math groups, schedules, etc. This may be hard at first but I think they will catch on quickly. I am going to be giving one student a night the monkey mystery bag. They are to take this home and bring back a show-n-tell item. The hard part is they can't tell anyone whats inside and it has to fit in the bag. Our snack schedule starts full swing tomorrow, so please check and see what day you bring it. Remember we have 12 students now! :) First grade starts spelling words this week, we will put them in their planners but they are always on here as well. Please make sure your child has their homework with them this week. They will have a math assignment every night. Also if you could please sign their planners this will allow them to get a Bobcat buck. I will be writing more things in them this next week and it will also have the color their monkey is on, with a note attached as to why it was moved. comments/questions/ concerns please feel free to let me know! Enjoy your week!

Did I say we have 11 students, I meant we have 12! We have added another kindergarten giving us a grand total of 9! There are 3 first graders. I can't wait to meet you all in the morning! Just to let you know I am going to be working on our snack calendar this weekend. I won't change next weeks but after that I may tweak it a bit. Sorry for any inconviences this may cause. Feel free to email me or call with any comments/questions/concerns.
